I just returned from my second Wedding Workshop in New Orleans, Louisiana (see next post) and it made me realize I should really and truly, write a post about my previous experience in Paris at the Belle Arte Workshop hosted and presented by Cynthia Martyn, Cynthia Martyn Events, Toronto (…back then I didn’t have a blog, so call it making up for lost time!!).
What a magical first experience! Three fabulous, luxury-filled days at the Shangri-La hotel in Paris, France. The workshop was a “curated and collaborative” experience in the world of fine art weddings.
Our experience included intensive and interactive daily sessions with some of the very best talent from the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada and France. Along the way, we participated in hands-on floral design, hands-on intensive styling class, a cake design session and many opportunities to learn from some of today’s best wedding artists:
- Jill La Fleur, La Fleur Weddings and Events, California
- Mark Niemierko, Niemierko, United Kingdom
- Joy Proctor, Joy Proctor Design, California
- Sara Russell, Editor and Founder, Wedding Sparrow Blog, U.K.
- Alexandria Pellegrino, Cake Opera Co, Toronto, ON
- Audrey Neracoulis, Le Secret D’Audrey, Paris, France
Some of the amazing highlights from this workshop that JUST have to be mentioned were the private tour of the Yves Saint Laurent studio, the high-tea afternoon at Laduree and the final farewell gala at Le Pre Catalan a relais chateaux restaurant in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne. Ooh la la…a truly divine experience, all around, experiencing first-hand the luxury of fine art weddings.
